New therapy for male factor infertility

As the first institute in Austria and one of the first in Europe, the Wunschbaby Institut Feichtinger offers a new sperm selection device, the Fertile Chip© for patients with male factor infertility.

Through it’s microstructure, the natural migration of sperm towards the oocyte is imitated and vital sperm of high genetic and physiologic quality can be gently selected (higher DNA integrity and less reactive oxygen species in selected sperm). This technique can be used for assisted reproductive techniques (IVF/ICSI) as well as intrauterine insemination (IUI) to select for the best sperm.
